Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the CEPortal solar monitoring platform operated by Chico Electric ("we," "us," or "our") at solarmonitoring.chicoelectric.com. By using our service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

CEPortal provides solar energy monitoring and analytics tools, including:

• True-Up report generation based on PG&E billing data.
• Solar production monitoring via Enphase integration.
• Energy usage dashboards and rate optimization analysis.

2. Account Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate information during account setup.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
• You must not share your account or provide access to unauthorized users.
• You must be the authorized account holder for any PG&E or Enphase accounts linked to our service.

3. Data Authorization

By using CEPortal, you authorize us to:

• Access your PG&E energy usage data through the Green Button Connect API.
• Access your Enphase solar production data through the Enphase API.
• Store and process this data to generate reports and analytics.

You may revoke this authorization at any time by contacting our support team or directly through PG&E's Share My Data portal.

4. Subscription and Payment

• Access to CEPortal requires an active subscription.
• Subscription fees are billed according to your selected plan.
• We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' advance notice.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis by contacting support.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts.
• Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data from the platform.
• Attempt to bypass security measures or authentication.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

6. Accuracy Disclaimer

While we strive for accuracy, our reports and calculations are estimates based on available data. Factors that may cause differences include:

• Timing of data updates from PG&E and Enphase.
• Rate schedule changes not yet reflected in our system.
• Meter reading date variations.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chico Electric shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

8. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We are not responsible for outages caused by third-party services (PG&E, Enphase, internet providers).

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the service relationship at any time. Upon termination:

• Your access to the platform will be revoked.
• Your data will be retained for 90 days, then permanently deleted.
• Any outstanding balance remains due.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Butte County, California.
